Cannabis Pickup Hours: Guide to Store Hours and Order Cutoffs

Cannabis pickup hours are the times a licensed dispensary accepts online or phone orders for in-store collection. They usually match the store's retail hours, but same-day order cutoffs and local rules can shorten the pickup window. Check the store's posted hours before you order, especially on weekends and holidays.

Cannabis Pickup Curbside: How It Works

Why Cannabis Pickup Hours Vary by Store

Every licensed cannabis retailer works within a mix of state rules, local ordinances, and its own business schedule. A store may open at 9 a.m. but stop accepting pickup orders at 8:30 p.m. so staff can prepare and verify orders before closing. Municipal rules can also set earlier closing times or limit sales on certain days. That is why cannabis pickup hours can differ from one city to the next, even for stores under the same brand.

Store Hours vs. Pickup Order Cutoffs

Retail hours tell you when the doors are open. Pickup cutoffs tell you when the store stops accepting new orders for collection that day. The two are related, but they are not the same.

• Retail hours: When staff can serve customers in the store.
• Order cutoff: The latest time you can place a pickup order for that day.
• Hold time: How long a store will keep a prepared order before canceling it.
• Last call: The point when a store stops new sales so it can close on time.

If you order near the end of the day, call ahead or check the confirmation message. A store may accept your order but set a short pickup window. Arriving after that window can mean the order is released or canceled under store policy.

How to Confirm Cannabis Pickup Hours

Use more than one source when timing matters. Store websites, online menus, phone messages, and posted door signs can change at different times. For a same-day pickup, a phone call is the simplest way to confirm both the closing time and the order cutoff.

1. Check the store's posted hours for the current day.
2. Look for a pickup cutoff note on the online order page.
3. Call the store if you are ordering within two hours of closing.
4. Keep your order confirmation and note the pickup window.
5. Arrive with a valid government ID and payment method accepted by the store.

Holidays, Local Rules, and Other Delays

Cannabis pickup hours may change on holidays, during road closures, or when local rules require earlier closing. Some stores extend hours during busy weekends, while others shorten them. Weather and staffing can also affect the time needed to prepare an order. If a holiday or local event is happening, confirm hours before you leave.

Age limits and ID checks apply at pickup. A store cannot release an order to someone who cannot prove they are of legal age under state law. Bring the same ID used for the order, and expect staff to verify it at the counter.

Quick Checklist Before You Head Out

• Confirm today's cannabis pickup hours by phone or on the store page.
• Check the cutoff for same-day orders.
• Note the hold time for prepared orders.
• Bring a valid ID and an accepted payment method.
• Plan to arrive before the pickup window ends, not at closing time.

Planning around cannabis pickup hours takes a minute and saves a wasted trip. When in doubt, call Pop's Cannabis and confirm the current schedule before you order.
