Cannabis Pickup First Time Discount: Buying Guide | Pop's Cannabis

Cannabis Pickup First Time Discount: Advice Before You Order

Ask for the first-time pickup discount terms before you fill a cart. A discount can apply to full-price flower only, exclude sale items, or require a minimum subtotal. Get the answer in writing through the store's order notes or chat so counter staff can match it.

Place a pickup order instead of shopping at the counter when the discount is tied to online orders. Confirm the store holds the order long enough for your drive and that the discount survives if an item sells out. At Pop's Cannabis, ask which product categories qualify and whether the discount stacks with loyalty points.

How to Claim the Discount at Pickup

1. Call the store and confirm the first-time pickup discount amount, eligible products, and expiration date.
2. Create an online account with the same name that appears on your government ID.
3. Add eligible items to the cart and choose pickup at checkout.
4. Enter the discount code or select the first-time customer option if the menu shows one.
5. Review the order summary for the discount line, taxes, and any pickup fee.
6. Wait for the order-ready message before you drive to the store.
7. Bring your government ID and the payment method named on the order.
8. Check the receipt before you leave the counter and confirm the discount posted.

Parameters That Change the Deal

• Minimum subtotal: Some stores apply the discount only after a set pre-tax total.
• Product exclusions: Discounts often skip sale flower, vapes, edibles, or accessories.
• Stacking rules: Loyalty points, daily deals, and first-time offers may not combine.
• Order timing: Pickup discounts can expire when the store closes or when the order sits too long.
• Taxes and fees: The discount may lower the subtotal but not the tax rate or local fees.
• Possession limit: The store cannot sell you more than the state limit even if the discount encourages a larger cart.

Pitfalls to Avoid

• Do not assume the online menu price already includes the first-time discount.
• Do not use a nickname on the order if your ID shows your legal name.
• Do not leave the counter without checking that the discount line appears on the receipt.
• Do not order items that the store excludes from the offer just to reach a minimum.
• Do not expect a pickup discount to apply to delivery or curbside orders unless staff confirms it.
