Step-by-Step Gorilla Glue Grow
- Germinate the seed in a damp paper towel, or plant a rooted clone straight into a 1 gallon pot of light, fast-draining mix.
- Run veg conditions at 18 hours light and 6 hours dark, 75 to 80°F, and 60 to 70 percent humidity.
- Feed at one quarter strength once the first true leaves open, then raise the EC in small steps every second watering.
- Top the plant above the fifth node after it has grown 6 to 8 nodes, which gives you two main tops instead of one.
- Bend the leading shoots under a trellis net every two or three days to keep the canopy level.
- Strip leaves and small growth from the bottom third of the plant at day 14 and day 21 of veg to open airflow under the canopy.

Feeding Notes
Gorilla Glue #4 is a moderate to heavy feeder once flowering starts, but it shows tip burn fast if you push EC too high. Hold veg EC near 1.2 to 1.6 and flower EC near 1.8 to 2.2, and add a magnesium and calcium supplement from the first week of flower. Most GG4 plants that yellow between the veins early in bloom are short on magnesium, not short on base nutrients. Keep water pH at 6.0 to 6.3 in coco and hydro, or 6.3 to 6.8 in soil, and water until you get 10 to 20 percent runoff so salts do not stack up in the pot.

Common Problems and Fixes
Bud rot inside fat colas
Dense, resin-heavy flowers trap moisture. Botrytis needs long wet periods and high humidity to take hold, so keep flower-stage humidity under 50 percent, run constant air movement, and open up the canopy with defoliation at week 4 and week 6. Inspect the inside of the biggest colas every few days. If a patch is brown and mushy, cut well below it and remove the waste from the room.

GG4 colas get heavy near week 7. Stakes, plant yoyos, or a second trellis installed at week 5 solve the problem before it starts. Do not wait for the snap.
Excessive stretch after the flip
Too much nitrogen, big day and night temperature swings, and lights hung too high all cause stretch. Keep night temperatures close to day temperatures, hold nitrogen steady, and bend tall shoots sideways under the net instead of topping in flower.
Light-leak stress
GG4 can throw nanners if the dark period gets interrupted. Seal every zipper, pinhole, and vent gap before you flip, and never open the tent during lights off.
