Week 9 to 10: Ripening and harvest window

Some plants finish in this window. Others need more time. Cloudy trichomes with a small share of amber glands suit many growers who want peak THC. More amber means more degradation of THC toward CBN.

1. Check trichomes every 2 to 3 days.
2. Water only when the top inch of medium feels dry.
3. Harvest tops first if lower buds need more time.

After harvest: Dry and cure

Harvest timing is only part of quality. Slow drying and a clean cure protect terpenes and reduce mold risk. Keep the room dark and stable.

1. Hang branches in a dark room at 60 to 65 F and 55 to 60 percent humidity.
2. Dry for 7 to 14 days until stems bend with a slight snap.
3. Place dried buds in jars for curing.
4. Open jars once a day for the first week to exchange air.
