THC Limits in CBD Products

Federal law caps hemp THC at 0.3% by dry weight. That is a ceiling, not a zero. A bottle of full-spectrum oil at that limit carries milligrams of THC per dose. Take 1 mL of a product with 3 mg/mL THC each day and the metabolite load adds up. CBD isolate holds no THC by definition, though labels can be wrong.

Labels Are Not Proof

A 2017 study in JAMA tested 84 CBD products. 69% had a CBD content that differed from the label by more than 10%. 21% contained THC that the label did not list. A "THC-free" claim on a bottle is marketing text, not a lab result.
